Rumors about an Acer
Quad Dual-Core tablet
Update 12/2/2011: The initial rumors were wrong, the Acer A200 tablet will contain a Tegra 2 dual-core processor. One of the reasons the Tablet PC Pro community of websites does not publish many rumors about upcoming devices.
Update 12/1/2011: There are conflicting rumors about the A200 tablet about whether it will have the Tegra 2 (dual-core) or Tegra 3 (quad-core) processor. I guess we will need to wait for something official from Acer.
A promotional video has been leaked showing off the new Acer A200 quad-core 10 in tablet PC.
There has not been anything official released by Acer, but from the video and other rumors we hope to see the following features:
- 10 inch Display
- Quad-core processor??
- 1GB RAM; 8GB or 16GB Internal Storage
- Full USB, micro SD, HDMI out
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
- “Clear-Fi” perhaps a wireless interface with a TV?
- Front facing camera
- Acer Ring user interface overlay
- ~8 Hours of video playback
That is all we know for now, but from the theme of the video, it seems like it may be released soon to take advantage of the holiday shoppers.
